Description
We choose to stock Flamers because:
- They are made from fine strips of wood which are turned into ‘wood wool’ and wound into rope and dipped in paraffin wax to create a natural and efficient fire lighter.
- They are 100% safe for food as they are kerosene-free and have no harmful chemicals, so they won’t change the taste of any food you cook or grill.
- They can be used indoors and outdoors and are suitable for wood burners, firepits, BBQs, pizza ovens, fireplaces, chimeneas, barbecues and open fires.
- You can use them as a fire starter for kiln-dried kindling, hardwood logs in a wood burning stove, coal, charcoal and briquettes.
Delivery
We aim to bring your fuel within 5 working days
- Delivery – Available to all EH postcodes and surrounding areas.
- Delivery day – After placing an order, we will contact you to schedule a delivery day.
- 5 working days – Firewood delivery usually occurs within 5 working days of the order date.
- Delivery details – You’ll receive an email with the delivery date, and a text on the delivery day with a more precise delivery window.
- How will your delivery work – Firewood will be delivered by our driver, using a vehicle equipped with a small crane to unload.*
- Delivery instructions – You can provide delivery instructions to let us know where to leave your logs. Instructions can be entered in the designated box on the checkout’s shipping page.
* You do not have to be at home for the delivery.
We will cover your logs if you are not there to receive them. We do, however, leave them at your own risk.
Click and Collect
Pick up free Kindling, Firelighters, or a Bacon Roll & a Cuppa in our Café when collecting your logs on Saturday mornings*
- Click and collect – Select the ‘Click and collect’ option at checkout, and pick up your order between 8:30am and 12:00pm the following Saturday.
- Thanks from us – Choose either a free bag of kindling or firelighters with your order, or if you’d prefer, a voucher for a bacon roll and cup of tea or coffee at the Pentland Plants café.
- Order confirmation – Bring your order confirmation email and ring the bell to get our attention; we will bring your firewood order to your vehicle.
