Description:

Our handy bags are ideal for indoor storage and tricky access.

They are filled with mixed species local, sustainable firewood which is stored and processed in our woodyard in Loanhead – mostly beech, ash, sycamore, oak and birch.

We kiln dry the logs on our drying floors which are fuelled by locally sourced softwood woodchip.

These logs are approximately 8 inches (20cm) in length, making them ideal for wood burning stoves and open fires.

We produce the logs ourselves, so we control the supply. This allows us to consistently deliver within a week or so – even in mid-winter.

We also control the quality to ensure they are the best logs available and great value for money.

Delivery

We aim to bring your fuel within 5 working days

Delivery – Available to all EH postcodes and surrounding areas.
Delivery day – After placing an order, we will contact you to schedule a delivery day.
5-7 working days – Firewood delivery usually occurs within 5-7 working days of the order date.
Delivery details – You’ll receive an email with the delivery date, and a text on the delivery day with a more precise delivery window.
How will your delivery work – Firewood will be delivered by our driver, using a vehicle equipped with a small crane to unload.*
Delivery instructions – You can provide delivery instructions to let us know where to leave your logs. Instructions can be entered in the designated box on the checkout’s shipping page.

* You do not have to be at home for the delivery.
We will cover your logs if you are not there to receive them. We do, however, leave them at your own risk.

Click and Collect

You can pick up our firewood any day at Pentland Plants Garden Centre.

Logs – Nets and Handy Bags: We have a shopping area at the front of Pentland Plants Garden Centre where you can pick up firewood any time the garden centre is open.

Accessories: Pentland Plants also stock kindling nets, firelighters briquettes and wood pellets.

Opening Hours: Pentland Plants opening hours are: Monday to Saturday 9am till 5pm, Sunday 10 am till 5pm

Logs – Larger Bags: If you would like to pick up giant builder bags of logs or our popular barrow bags, you can do so on weekdays by prior arrangement by calling Pentland Biomass on 0131 4407949.
